Youth Leadership & Resilience
Built to Lead. Built to Last.
The Resilience Lab equips youth and high performers with the leadership skills, mental resilience, and community connections they need to thrive, on and off the field.
Leadership and resilience programming for youth ages 14–24 in Ottawa and the National Capital Region.
Why ResLab?
A structured place to build skills that matter.
Young people face pressure in school, sport, relationships, decision-making and planning for their futures. ResLab gives them a structured and supportive place to strengthen the skills that help them respond with confidence.
Through practical discussion, guided activities, reflection and real-world application, participants develop greater self-awareness, resilience, communication, discipline and leadership capacity.

About the Program
What ResLab Is — and What It Is Not
ResLab is a secular, inclusive and non-clinical youth-development program. It is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment or religious instruction.
Our programs use evidence-informed learning, practical activities, guided discussion and supportive group interaction to help young people strengthen leadership, confidence, resilience and personal effectiveness.
ResLab facilitators bring relevant education, leadership and youth-engagement experience and are committed to creating respectful and welcoming learning environments.
Open to everyone.
ResLab welcomes youth from different backgrounds, identities, experiences and levels of confidence. Participants are never expected to disclose private experiences or share more than they are comfortable sharing.

Leadership forged through experience.
Devon Archer is the founder of The Resilience Lab and the National Capital Blues Foundation, a registered charity serving young people across the National Capital Region. Drawing on years of experience in public service, community leadership, youth engagement, and program development, Devon created The Resilience Lab to give young people access to the guidance and practical tools he would have valued growing up—confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a clear sense of purpose.
